Substandard Model

FERMILAB

According to this BBC article, physicists at the High Energy Accelerator Research Organisation in Tsukuba, Japan have discovered a crazy subatomic particle not anticipated by the Standard Model of particle physics, perhaps setting back efforts to formulate a Theory of Everything. The discovery was peer reviewed by Fermilab the soon-to-be-the-world's-second-most-powerful-particle-accelerator. The Europeans will open the new Cern lab in a few years.
