Since we live in Massachusetts, we would be remiss in not mentioning that our Commonwealth' s Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex couples are legally entitled to marry. I'm sure the pro- and anti- gay marriage crowds will soon turn our state into a legal battlefield. Personally, I think a consenting adult (whatever it identifies itself as- black, Protestant, transgendered, rodeo clown, etc.) should be able to marry whatever it wants to, as long as the other party can give their consent- ie, no children, animals, corpses, or machines (that is, until the machines can give consent, which seems to be only a few years away).
