01/16/2004: Stuff That Does't Suck Stuff That Doesn't Suck

New Utilities Added to Google

Google seems to come up with new and useful searches about every month or so. Previously, we have posted about package tracking, patent and registration lookup then it was about unusual language preferences. This month there is handful of interesting additions.

  • Area Codes, 617, bring up maps.
  • UPC codes, e.g. 073333531084 or 036000250015, bring up some information about the product.
  • Flight numbers, e.g. usair 50, provide links to flight tracking.
  • Vehicle ID numbers (VIN), e.g. JH4NA1157MT001832, CARFAX report on what kind of car and its status.
  • U.S. Postal Service tracking numbers link to package status.

Without knowing how much debt they have on their books lets assume when they go public they will be financed with a 100% equity. If that is the case the innovation will increase 10 fold
