Governator Strikes A Blow For Smoker's Rights in Caulifornyuh
from CNN
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R- CA) is a smoker of cigars. Unfortunately, anti- smoking laws prohibit him from smoking at his place of business, ie the California Capitol Building in Sacramento. Schwarzenegger is using his executive powers to turn an interior courtyard into an all- weather smoking plaza. Predictably, anti- smoking zealots who think it is their business what one puts into their bodies staged their infantile demonstrations on the steps of the Capitol last Saturday.
Good for Arnold! Although I am not a smoker, I occasionally have one, and while blowing smoke in someone's face is annoying, it is none of my business if someone puffs up or not. I think the tactics of the anti- smoking zealots are disgraceful. What if I had a problem with people who drink soda and forced them to not drink it inside, taxed each can by 25% or more, and yelled at them while they are trying to suck down their Coke in peace? Smokers are an oppressed minority and it is about time a politician stood up for them. It is funny that the brave politician happens to be Arnold.

Ahhh...finally, one of the beams of my political platform has been enacted. Legalize weed, public execution of all courtesy callers, and equal rights for smokers.
