Jupiter's Radio Lasers, live on the air 24/7
or, returning the monolith's call
Now, you can listen to the radio broadcasts beamed at us from Jupiter. The University of Florida's Radio Observatory streams the broadcasts from Jupiter's polar radio lasers for space geeks using modems or high-speed connections. Or, you can build your own using instructions from NASA's Radio Jove website.
Want to know more about the twisted magnetic fields and ionized gases that create these wild broadcasts? Peep the NASA Science News desk story.
