03/15/2004: Stuff That Does't Suck Stuff That Doesn't Suck

Life of A Minor Leaguer
from KJZZ (Public Radio station in Mesa, AZ.)

If some of you were lucky enough to watch some spring training games this month (ahem, Lefty McLeft) you may have seen Adam Hyzdu in right field in place of the injured Trot Nixon. Turns out Hyzdu has a pretty interesting story. This is his 14th spring training, and he has yet to stick with a major league team. Apparently, he was a big shot in Altoona (wherever the hell that is) but being a minor league journeyman means you have to move a lot (his wife says 51 times). In the second most interesting public radio story ever on baseball, (#1 being Only A Game's story on the independent Northern League) tune in to listen to Adam Hyzdu's radio journal.
