The Big Dig Is Leaking? Say It Ain't So, Ted!
from Yahoo! News Top Stories
Wow, could you imagine if Senator John Kerry was President- Elect when this story broke? Aren't both he and Teddy Kennedy responsible for the procuring of funds for the Big Dig? Remember the FOX25 stories about the fleet of 100 SUV's paid for with Big Dig money that went to the car wash every week? It probably would have become Kerry's Whitewater, except instead of swindling the elderly, the Big Dig builders have been swindling the American taxpayer.

Well, procuring money for the Big Dig and being responsible for cost overruns are two different things. I think the real fault is with Parsons Brinckerhoff. Blaming John Kerry for the leaks is a little like blaming John Harrington for the ball going through Buckner's legs.
But perhaps you are right, the "fair and balanced" media would have tried to pin it on him...

I was watching the CBS Evening News last night and Jordan Levy of the Turnpike Authority was nearly screaming about how they were going to sue Parsons Brinkerhoff. I thought to myself, what were the people at the Turnpike Authority doing the last 15 years? Did they never check out any of this work that was going on under their name? What about the thousands of construction workers who made so much money building this tunnel- did none of them care they were building something so shoddy?
As for pinning it on Kerry, people have been taken down with less tenuous connections to malfeasance, and what else would they be able to pin on him? Not much...
