from Weekly Dig
Part Weekly Week, part Village Voice, all Phoenix slayer, the Weekly Dig is a favorite in my house for reading and cleaning up the occasional mess. Last week's edition featured a quote from none other than Waltham Libertarian and man about town Rich Aucoin. Speaking at an anti-war rally in the Boston Common, Aucoin was quoted as saying:"When you support big government to fund pet things like education and health care, you can't trust the government to not go to war. You can't create a monster and expect it to do the things you want."
Tuesday the 12th of April, cherry st. libertarian noted:
i held up a sign on for aucoin when he ran in the waltham ward 8 primary race in 2001. the primary was on tuesday, september 11th. i voted anyway. it seemed the right thing to do at the time.
