Ancient Pyramid Discovered Underneath Catholic Site In Mexico
from Associated Press
In the Iztapalapa neighborhood in Mexico City, an ancient pyramid built by the Teohuatican culture has been discovered beneath a site where millions of people come every year to watch the Passion play. The Passion play has been put on at the site since the 1800s, and the pyramid appars to have been abandoned almost 1000 years before. Although the Catholic Church has built many churches on the sites of former temples, this merely appears to be a very interesting coincidence.
